I haven't been around in a few days, mostly because I've been off doing grown-up things like playing the Sims job hunting and baby shower organizing and hand-towel buying (there's something to make you feel all grown up and domestic!). My neighbors are having their baby this week, so I made dinner for them tonight - I was kind of nervous for it, since I'm not a very secure cook and I ended up having to improvise a fair bit on the recipe, but I made a three bean vegetarian chili that turned out wonderfully, so! :D
But it seems that the internet has exploded while I was away! Things:
- NEW MUSIC! I can't get it to play though, so I haven't heard either of them. D: Anyone have workable links?
- The Young Veins. I'm not sure about the name; it's a bit weird, but I don't hate it, and to be honest, I don't like most band names the first time I hear them. I used to shake my head every time Panic! at the Disco came up on my delicious, because really, who would name their band that? And Cobra Starship had me giggling every time I saw it for my first few months in bandom. (Also, I had a weird problem where I couldn't get myself to stop typing it as Cobra Starfish.) So I'll probably come to like The Young Veins in time.
- Spencer MTV interviews! Spencer is the only one of the Panic boys that has never made me cringe in an interview. He's just so personable and enthusiastic and nice. <333. His interviews left me feeling a lot better about the split than Ryan's did, just as Spencer and Brendon's initial split notification didn't cut at me the way Ryan's and Jon's did. This definitely leaves me a bit more well-disposed towards Brendon and Spencer, but I wonder how much of it is just that Spencer is better at speaking to people than Ryan is. Seriously, Spencer is awesome at this whole managing his band thing, so I'm not going to blame Ryan for not being able to do it as well.
- I want to hear from Brendon and Jon!

This set of Cobra interviews is awesome. Why are more people not squeeing over it on my flist? Cobra is my favorite band to watch in interviews, I think (even if they sometimes make me cringe when talking about alcohol)- they are so clearly having a great time. This interview left me all about the Gabe/William, and the Nate! (even though he wasn't even there, there were a few great Nate moments) and the times when they fell all over laughing, and most especially Ryland. Ryland is my favorite, guys. (I know I say that about people all the time, but today it's Ryland.)
- Tomorrow is the last day for signups and prompts claiming at
bandom_hc. Last chance to sign up or switch your prompt (I am considering making a last minute switch, because while I still want to write the story I signed up for, I am no longer sure that it's going to head in a h/c direction, and I have another story that is totally h/c that I could adapt for the purpose. And I'm not even talking about the lizardfic.)
- I think that is all. I'm still waiting on Leverage, so perhaps I will go watch the sunset instead.
- Oh no, how could I forget! IAN! IAN THE CABBABY! And that dude whose name I have forgotten (Dallon? Dillan?) but who is quite good looking! But mostly Ian! (Although, as amicable as his leaving the Cab sounded, I'm waiting on the Cab/Panic story about Spencer and Brendon stealing Ian. Because Ian/Marshall/Johnson is my cabbaby OT3 that I mostly forget about when they don't pop up on my flist, and I am a bit sad that they aren't together anymore.
