Let's take this one in reverse...

Joel woke me up this morning (3pm, heh) to tell me his car had started on fire on the way home from work, and more importantly my shoes came in the mail! So tonight I am wearing my shoes to the grocery store, and Joel gets to come with Mike and me whilst we run errands.

Last night, after the hour and 1/2 long drive home from mes parents, Mike and I watched the first episode of Planet Earth in HD. It was beautiful, AND there were elephants swimming.

Prior to that we ate lasagna with Mommy, Daddy, and my very confused Grandma, who I think forgot it was Easter at least 10 times. Daddy made me some tasty vegetarian lasagna with olives. The rest of which I get to pick up once it had been packed in convenient lunch sized squares.

We had to wake up at OMG 6:30 in the morning to go to the sunrise Easter service. So after breakfast at the church we went back to my parents' and slept half the day, until we had to pick up Grandma for dinner.

Saturday night involved a long drive, good Chinese food, and my mother drawing obscene pictures on easter eggs. We sat at the kitchen table while Daddy and Mike watched hockey and I showed her the meetup pictures.

So, about this lolita meetup... Everyone was so cute! Whenever I go to one of these damn things it makes me feel like I NEED to sew more. I start to feel tethered to "the rules" whenever I wear brand coordinates, and I start feeling like I lack creativity. It's not like I don't know how to sew, but fuck Baby, why do you make such pretty clothes?

The conservatory was beautiful, and warm. It was like a glistening slice of hope that soon it might be warm again. Best meetup so far, by far. I was delighted to get to meet some new people.
