And I have decided to no longer pacify them and make them feel comfortable in situations where they are the minority. I have also decided to stop making them feel great and enlightened. Period. I am utterly amazed by the wealth of knowledge I have to know about your makeshift culture, while you take absolutely no time to learn mine, or if you do learn it, it's from another white person who had an "encounter" with a blackie. I can eat beef all day, but that doesn't make me a butcher. So, you walking pass Black people on the street or reading Black literature does not make you enlightened.
I have reserved the right to walk away in the middle of a conversation when you ask me an ignorant question that, that had I asked the same dumb question about your culture, would have me branded an ignorant nigger. Moreover, having white friends does nothing for me, but it does a hell of a lot for you. It "shows" you're not racist; how could someone who has a black friend be racist? Never that.
