We've gone up and down the block a few times which adds up to a little over a mile but she keeps going to the door and I keep trying to let her out (we stick her leash in the door so that she can't get away) and then she refuses to move. 3) Word. I mean, it reminds me of the 2008 election. I was staunchly anti-Bush and campaigned for Obama because it was like, "Get a smart guy in office who can fix all these horrible problems." And to be sure, I prefer Obama as president to Bush and I do think that Obama is making a better president than McCain would have had he been elected instead.

But Obama's still not the president I thought he'd be because so much of it is out of his hands. Things like the recession or the oil spill in the gulf or spineless democrats in Congress or ridiculous filibustering republicans or even the fact that he himself is not always willing to stand up and be strong. It's eye opening, you know? Because it's hard for everyone, regardless of party, regardless of circumstance. And I'm sure Obama thought he'd be a different president, too, but reality often gets in the way and crushes idealism flat.

5) Thank you for completing my thought. This is kind of where I was going in my head but couldn't focus well enough to get it out to my fingers.

6) Chief is my boyfriend. That is all.

I think we Brits are just cynical, so on the whole, we automatically assume that any politician who gets into power is going to end up as bad as the last one. It's often the case, though. And I cannot imagine how the fleet would have survived as long as it did if Gaeta and Zarek had been in charge instead of Adama and Roslin. Jeez.

Incidentally, I'm of the firm belief that our new Prime Minister, David Cameron, is a cylon. He certainly doesn't seem human.
