Secondary to early childhood
This is for those amongst us who have transitioned from being a secondary teacher to an early childhood teacher. What inspired you to do it? What was it like for you? Other than the obvious maturity levels (emotional, intellectual, developmental and physical), how different was, and how difficult?
I'm a secondary teacher, but I've started to wonder if I'd be more suited to early childhood. Don't get me wrong, I love teaching, and I love being able to share historical and political knowledge with my students, but after having a few classes with younger kids, I'm starting to wonder if I should be heading elsewhere.
