I love Dreary Days
Ok, I'm weird (and I don't need any confirmation thank you very much ;)) but I love cloudy, rainy days. My mood actually began to lift when the clouds began to roll in and stay here. Anyways, went into work today to organize my classroom closet. I should do that more often...just about everyone who's number is in my cellphone called. Which was cool and I enjoyed chatting with all of them it just took me a bit longer to get my organization done. So, three hours later I left.
Stopped at Carrs on my way home and saw a co-worker up at the deli counter. Walked over to say Hi. She seemed to be dressed nice in a suit and high heels so I said she looked nice. She looks at me and says, " Thanks, but you haven't seen the front". She prompty turns around and I notice that she is bascially showing the whole front of a black, almost sheer bra..on purpose. My response was "Oh, so I see your flashing people today. Feeling trashy?" Yes people are looking at her and yes, scuzzy, icky looking men are making six, seven or more trips back looking at her. She told me she wanted to look trashy today. We talked for awhile about work and then headed off to the bank.Whatever makes her feel good I guess.
The rest of my fascinating afternoon was spent trying out my new vacuum cleaner and being grossed out by how much stuff it was picking up. I knew my old one wasn't picking up much but I didn't realize it was so little. So, I really vacuumed every carpeted area well and then continued to finish knitting a scarf. Then I got online to check email and other stuff..was alerted to some funny patterns at a yarn site by someone in my LJ knitting community. They had patterns to reproduce the poncho Martha Stewart made while in prison (and left in) AND a smaller version for a dog. A dog poncho...how the hell can a DOG wear a PONCHO!!!!!!! Well, whatever.
