Over a Cup of Tea

The soft sounds of a footsteps through the house. It had been a pleasant surprise to find that Seilan had committed suicide along with the children. Albeit, she had some plans, but no matter now.

Lifting her skirts, she stepped over the cold bodies of the children sprawled across the kitchen floor. Reaching into the cabinet, she took out to glasses and set a pot of water to boil. Tapping her finger's on the counter she glanced around.

Apparently, Seilan had decided to take the easy way out and the children with her. It figured that she would. No courage to stand up to what had been sown. A look of displeasure as she rifled through the cabinet where the tea was kept. This woman liked poorly flavored hot water. Disgusting...

With tea in hand, she walked around the corpses of the children and into Fiorn's study. Best to go through the papers before she destroyed them. After organizing them into piles, she carefully sorted through them. Most of them were financial records that she put in a pile to take to one of her locations.

Just before taking another sip of her tea, Mesaana came across a very interesting document. Pausing for a brief moment, Mesaana reread it again. Then with a snarl, she hurled the teacup across the room. The sound of shattering china and the splash of that awful watery tea hitting the floor.

That wretched child had lied to her!

She had been working with Ishamael and Malacoda. Not that this exonerated Fiorn, but she would wring Astoreth's traitorous neck with her bare hands! Perhaps, give her to Semirhage if she was not under Ishamael's protection. Grabbing the papers in disgust, she stormed out of the office.

The weaves of fire set around the house were going to make sure that there was nothing left to find.
