Entry Numero Dos

My expedition to the fish market has proven profitable. I have taken posession of several serviceable blades, more than I need, but enough, perhaps, to be of assistance to the rest of the community. The state in which I found them was quite as unappealing as one would expect of metal left among rotting meat for so long, and I have spent a considerable amount of time restoring them to serviceability and sanitizing them in fire. Three I have kept for myself, and the rest I have left in front of the large, gated building at the corner of two roads. I believe the building is a school of some sort, and that it is close to the apartments where most of the people are currently living.

I have also left some of the supplies I have found in the past few days. Thus far I have observed no deterioration in my own health, so there should be no danger of contamination with either the diseases of my world or this world's virus to anyone who handles the goods. Much of it is the metal cans which I have discovered contain preserved food, and clean water which I have found in bottles of a clear, pliable material which appears to be glass but is not. How remarkable the goods of this world are.

I have avoided the beasts of the city as much as possible, but some pursuit is inevitable. There is little to note about these encounters except that they are dangerous, and preferably to be avoided, though lately it is not the monsters that have concerned me most. In the process of foraging for sustainance, I came across a box which was emblazoned with the image of a tea leaf. Despite my initial hopes, I was quite horrified when I opened the box to discover small paper bags filled with nothing more than the chaff and dust that is left at the bottom of a barrel when the actual tea has been removed. I was further disturbed to find that all of the boxes, similarly marked, contained tea of various varieties, all in the same state.

I am certain that this has already come to the notice of the community, but clearly, we have been brought to a society that is utterly devoid of sensitivity for the spirit. Only such a society could provide tea of such a pitiable state in such great amounts. I am chilled to my very core, and for once, it has nothing to do with the loss of my firebending.

being helpful, wtf tea?, discedo = phail
