Do you have reoccurring dreams?
I'm ALWAYS dreaming of my grandmother's house. Always.
I could relate each one to you seriatim, but I lack time, so I'll just give you the one from last night:
When I dream of the outside of my grandparent's house, there is always a shed in the northeast corner ..... said shed did not exist in real life. (Although my aunt tells me the ORIGINAL homestead boasted a shed. It was a homestead-shed.)
When I dream of the inside of my grandparent's house there is a special room just to the right of the living room. This, too, did not exist in the real house.
In last night's dream, I realized I was in the inside-grandmas-house dream and looked for that room. Unfortunately by that point in the dream, I was the queen and we were leaving the palace, and when I went into that room it was full of people and I couldn't enjoy it.
The dream went on in desultory fashion, as always, but I wanted to record this particular moment: I looked out a bathroom window onto the grounds (approximately twice the size of the real yard) and saw that cherry blossoms had fallen onto the grass by the window. I made a mental note that I should go out and collect them -- they might have magical uses!
Then I looked onto the lawn at the unicorn lounging among the swans and thought "What I'm I thinking, I live in a house where unicorns lounge on the green. Screw cherry blossoms."
