Harry/Hermione shippers would probly notice the littlest bits (because I did) about Chapter two....
For me it was the graveyard scene. Oh, yes, so much H/Hr there, too. I think that was the closest I came to actually crying during the whole read, it was so touching. Pretty much all of the stuff after Ron stormed off was sweet, H/Hr-esque, but it's still R/Hr in the end...
I remember it from a chat she did a few years ago. Same place she said Remus's middle name was John...I think it's at mugglenet, but I don't have time right now to go looking for it... :/
Lupin and Tonks dying sucks, and yeah it was pretty anticlimactic, but I get why she'd do it for the sake of the story - now things have come full circle and Harry is godfather to an orphaned baby boy. There's a ring to that.
Fred, though? Fred died out of bloody nowhere purely so she could kill a Weasley. As easily kill off Bill or Charlie or, hell, Percy! Fred has been my favorite character since I read the first book ten full years ago. I was CRUSHED that he died.
I totally, completely saw Lily/Snape coming, and even though it's not my 'ship I have to say I loved it.
I was surprised that Molly killed Bella but that "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH" line just. Yeah. Oh, I loved it so much.
And yes, I caught the Hermione Jean Granger bit as well. Am wondering if that was perhaps merely a typo - it's the same four letters after all.
I know, Tonks just died out of absolutely nowhere. I mean, out of the 50+ other deaths during that battle, Fred was the ONLY ONE who got what even came close to an explanation of how it happened.
OMG Fred SHOULD have made me start bawling. I should have been a literal weepy mess, but by the time I realised he'd kicked the bucket, I also realised I was still laughing over him teasing Percy about making a joke. It was weird. I LOVED the twins. I wanted some for my own.
Apparently Jean was not a typo. *points to hp-lexicon link*
Oh, I was still giggling over the teasing as well - and then all of a sudden I went, "Wait, what?!" Because, um, NO. You do not get to kill off my Fred. (My best friend and I have had a running joke since we first met that while everyone else was all, "Oh I love Harry!" or "I'm going to marry Ron!" she and I were going, "Psh, wtfever. It's all about the twins, yo." So George was her boyfriend and Fred was mine in all our silly little fanfics.)
Ahh, I suppose the Jean thing does make sense now. I wouldn't want to have the same name as Umbridge either, ick! I was really impressed with her portrayal in the movie - I think they actually managed to make her even more repulsive than in the book, and I didn't think that was even possible. XD
I zero'd in on the Harry/Draco. :D There was more than I had expected...
Very sad about dear Snape. D: Though I was expecting it.
Surprisingly very sad and moved about Fred's death. I never liked the twins much, but I keep thinking of George being all alone. :(
The epilogue sucked donkeys. But except for that and few other things(I do not understand JKR's bizarre world view that everything is black and white. It disturbs me a little.) I enjoyed the book very much. And yes, Harry should have stayed dead.
You're right. I didn't even think of that. Harry should be damaged in some way. I suspect he has severe emotional trauma, but still. Hmm, I want fic people. The book is one of her best really, I'm just so confused about some things. Why was Luna in Malfoy Manor and not Azkaban? What was the point of Tonks? Umm, more things I can't think of now.
Yeah, the Snape stuff was obvious. I'm not sure how I feel about Snape/Lily. I didn't out right hate it, but I don't know...
