Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World:
Ran back to library in the hopes of being able to finish Dance Dance Dance before someone snatched it up, was left with only this -_- meh, flipped through it, wasn't particularly anything to scream about. Why is it that the Murakami books that I can have all to myself are usually the ones I don't particularly like? Except A Wild Sheep Chase. That was pretty cool. But Dance Dance Dance was honestly even cooler, more like Norwegian Wood in feel. pffttt
Doors Open:
Found it surprisingly enjoyable. I've read Ian Rankin's Black&Blue before, found it pretty run-of-the-mill, dark and grimy, no real surprises. Granted, I read it in Chinese, but still. Good plot shines through. This one isn't a whodunnit, the perpetrators are the protagonists for one. I'm a real sucker for protagonists on the wrong side of the law, call it the inner rebellious streak. Reads like one of the better episodes of White Collar, lots of discussions on art and forgery and investment banking, and the role of art as investment commodities(?) in our current society and possible ramifications, and it's just very cool. Had a little problem with the ending, though honestly it's the best one possible, so.
AFA 2011:
Saw some nice figurines, and some even nicer cosplay, and some REALLY good fanart. Which I couldn't buy because I had already splurged on a Katekyoushi soup cup before hand. I don't even like Katekyoushi, I just didn't want to leave without buying anything. -_- Damn, should have saved money for those Black Rock Shooter and APH artbooks, daaaaamn. I only got one badge. One. It is incredibly gorgeous and I will love it for life.
Facebook:
Is pissing me off. Took the time for all 58 grad night pics to upload, they asked me to login again when i never actually logged out, album just vanished by the time everything was fine again -_- fuck it.
