Today kicked ass.
I woke up around 11, had some toast and a granola bar (wasn't real hungry) and went online to get the times straight with Erin. Then I went and jumped in the shower, threw on some clothes, and got ready right around when Erin got to my house.
She let me drive her car, and let me tell you, that was a trip. It's a 99 Stratus that shakes after you hit 60 or so. Riot, let me tell you :-P Anyways, so we get to the zoo around 1? 1:30? We end up having to park at the top of the parking structure because it was so damn busy. But we didn't care. We parked by ourselves in the corner cuz we're rebels :-D
So we get in, and the first thing Erin does is throw the map away. Who needs a map, right? Well, we did. We stopped at like every station where they had one posted to check and make sure we didn't miss anything. Thanks Erin, thanks alot. Haha, you know i'm just kiddin' . We really didn't have that hard of a time hitting every exhibit.
The penguins were first. Damn that smelled! I didn't know those weird little shits smelled so bad! But oh well, it was refreshing to me :-P j/k.. anyways, next we just went down the line and hit the llamas, flamingos, and ant eaters. And then what Erin thought was cute....the Capybara. If I find a picture of one, i'll post it up and you can determine for yourself, haha. Then we hit the reptile exhibit... so many different frogs, toads, newts, salamanders, and other weird things. We go inside this little rain forest place and we're looking at this bird. Erin's like 'it only has one wing' and then outta nowhere some lady butts in and starts rambling off facts about it. We're like... OOook! And then there was a sloth.. but he was hiding. So we couldn't really see him.
So then we go to the polar bear exhibit. It was pretty sweet, but I was worried at first cuz there were no polar bears out, only seals. We went inside after walking around the outside part and walk through this huge glass tunnel. There were seals and stuff all around us, but NO FRICKIN POLAR BEARS. Finally we walk outside and I was all pissed.. and then... two polar bears!! One startin walking away, but another was just chillin, so Erin got a picture of him/her. After that we got Dippin Dots, just the best ice cream in the world. Well, I did. Erin deprived herself from the wonderful taste of frozen ice cream balls... but whatever :-P
Then we moved on, saw the elephants... they kinda smelled too, but who cares. The one was like knawing on the plastic bar, which was weird. After that, we checked out the snow monkeys. Yeah, you know, the ones with the red butt. Well, I saw one bending over and taking a drink. It was basically mooning us. So I go 'Hey Erin, look, it's smiling at you!' and she looks and... yeah.. got all pissed because she was lookin at a monkey ass, not a smilie face :-P We tried to get a pic of it, but he walked away.
So then, the best part... THE LIONS! We got some sweet pics, i'm sure Erin will put them up in her LJ, so check hers out. I know that was what Erin came to see, so I was happy that they were out :-) Next... the chimps and gorillas. One helluva lot of chimps and gorillas. We thought they had something on their asses, but it was really... yeah, just their ass. Haha, I got a kick out of that one...Later on, Erin and her perverted mind saw a sign about how Gorillas get ready to brawl. One portion said 'get bigger...and stand erect' You can guess what she was thinking about :-P
We stopped at the tiger's next, and one was making weird noises. I think it wanted a nap, but everyone was lookin at it, so it wouldn't go to sleep. Next time you see me, ask me, i'll do an impression :-D On our way out, we saw the camels and some deer-like animals. And that was basically it. I know i probably missed alot of animals, but just so you know, we saw everything... :-)
So we left, and stopped at Family Video, rented Secret Window with Johnny Depp, then went back to my house and watched it. It was decent... horrible plot, kinda weird. But yeah. So we ate dinner, and then just basically watched TV the whole night.
It was seriously an AWESOME DAY. I loved every second of it, thanks to Erin, my beautiful, amazing, hilarious Erin :-D Today was just another reason to wake up smiling tomorrow, and the next day, and the next...
Thanks for making it so special, and I cannot wait to see you again :-D
