After finding her father but before Bane being rescued, Ra's takes Talia with him to Gothom. While there Talia meets John shortly after his father dies, he is a bit younger than her, but she takes an immediate shine to him. Ras decides that Talia might want him as a companion( after all how many children around her age could there be in Ninja central)so he takes the boy with them when they leave. He plans for them to be betrothed when they are older, so they aren't treated like siblings necessarily but they are super close. Talia considers John hers. Bane is rescued and soon treats John just the same as Talia. Ra's does not approve, of course and banishes Bane from the league. Talia leaves with him, but Ra's prevents her from taking John. Since his daughter has abandoned him, he decides that John will be his heir and works on shifting John's loyalty from Talia and Bane to him so that if Talia tries to return for him, he won't go with her. So basically he starts to brainwash John into what he wants him to be.
Bruce shows up to train, just like in begins, and discovers John. He is intrigued by him and also concerned about what Ra's has been doing to him. Ra's allows them to interact, seeing that he might be able to control both through their connection with each other. Things go down and the league is destroyed, but Bruce manages to take John with him. For whatever reason , John can not seem to remember his time with the League. Bruce does not feel that the should take care of John ( he doesn't think he will do a good job.) so he has John placed in St. Swithans. He keeps tabs on him. When Ra's shows up again he is also there for John. He dies like in begins.
Years pass, John is all grown up and the beginning of rises starts. Bruce is very interested in John but feels guilt about knowing about John's past when John does not.John knows about Batman and also just feels safe with Bruce. Maybe they start a relationship, maybe it is all unresolved feelings.
Bane and Talia show up and they somehow find out that John is Talia's John from long ago and she is determined to have him back with her and Bane whether he is willing or not.
* Barsad is fine to add as well
* Even though he can't remember right away, John still has some of his experience still left over. For instance, sometimes he finds himself agreeing with what the league is doing because of the conditioning Ra's put him through and his bond with Talia. This freaks him out and also worries Bruce quite a bit.
* If this can somehow end up Bruce/Blake/Talia/Bane/Barsad, I would find that awesome. Maybe Talia wants to prove she is better than her father by getting Bruce to take his place in the League and maybe she uses John and Bruce's feeling for each other to get what she wants.

I am about to finish up my big epic and I thought about this prompt again. But since you had started it, I wondered if you would want to see more of this or not. I'd love to play with it a bit.
And yes, I did! I'm glad you enjoyed it...it's the sequel that I'm almost finished writing.
