There needs to be some place to discuss non-fic related items. Discuss the movie, the amazing cast, the characters, Tom Hardy's expressive eyes. If there is even the smallest relation to The Dark Knight Rises, then go ahead, bring it up, talk about it and have fun.

1. They weren't specific about age when they were both in the Pit, but I like to think that Bane was probably in his mid-teens--like 15 or 17--and Talia was probably like ten.

2.Alfred is a badass and gets Harry Brown on everybody when he stops working for Batman.(Or at least he did in the past.)Because he's getting all those totally tear-jerk life lessons from somewhere. And burning the entire forest down to capture one guy who was just trolling? Damn, son.

3.After they move to Florence, Bruce trolls the fuck out of Selina all the time.

4.Dr. Jonathan Crane is obviously some kind of sex-nymph. Because.

5.Bane/Barsad. Because obviously.

As for the Bane and Talia thing, I don't think he was necessarily anti-hope--I don't think he could've been if he believed that he was genuinely fufilling Ra's' legacy. There's gotta be some hope in that. Either that, or he was so damn confident there was no room for failure. Also, Bane was the only one to actually believe in Talia's innocence and purity and wanted to preserve that. So, with him believing she was the CHOSEN ONE and everything, it's likely he genuinely believed she could survive.

Also, I kind of liked it better when they thought it was Bane who was the child, because that's how it was in the comics. But it was a very nice twist either way.

Who's to say Bane wasn't born/grew up in the Pit anyways? I have only the vaguest knowledge of comics!Bane, and I can't remember how he was supposed to have escaped the Pit, but I'm assuming Talia stole that part as well? Anyways, I have headcanoned that Bane grew up in the Pit, which is one of the reasons he wanted to protect Talia. The others are because he is just a great guy like that.

(If this is as rambley and nonsensical as I fear it is, I apologize, I should be in bed, lol)

Well, my memory is fuzzy too but he was born into the Pit and around the time he escaped he had already become King of the prison and had then the handlers of the prison gave him the Venom drug.

Plus, your idea actually makes sense because Bane even said "By the time I saw the light I was already a man." So...yeah.

And I think that Bane was more apt to have had some because otherwise she would've just let himself die a long time ago in the prison. He put a lot of faith even before she actually escaped seeing her as a symbol of something. *goes to search for quotes*

+1 Did I imagined a pained look in Barsad the few times that Batman actually hit Bane during the first fight?

Yes! The obvious concern spoke volumes!

Bane likely told him to stay out of it.
