Everlasting Cycle
My newest poem, I'm still not sure if I like how the last 4 lines go, but here it is
Everlasting Cycle
The beginning step meets the end
An unwavering path like the wind
A new ray of light hits the morning
From the sinking ship it starts soaring
The second step hits the bright sun
Straight shooting from the point of a gun
Happiness found bearing sweet innocence
The hurting heart finding new eminence
The next step the beauty sets in
Times of bliss in a past full of sin
Every night sleeping with content
Then waking enjoying the moment
Another step sneaks now into play
The all lasting hope begins to decay
Clouds form and rain starts to drizzle
The sweet nectar seems to fizzle
A new step appears in full scorn
The fabric of the heart being torn
Gloomy thoughts fill the soul so deep
Tears falling in a non-stopping weep
The end step meets the beginning
A finish to a chapter so fitting
Half-filled glass with no recycle
The creed of an ever-lasting cycle
