Poem Time
This is one of my more favorite poems that I've written. Thought I'd share it
Around Me
Windows broken, bullets flying
People fighting, children crying
This is the world around me
like leaves falling from a tree
blood tasted, cold steel felt
lives are broken, hearts melt
This is the life I have seen
Through my open eyes so keen
Understanding gone, destruction erupts
Dangerous thoughts, mind corrupts
This is all a part of society
Ignorance blocks out our ability
Pain experienced, motivation lost
Dreams shattered, always a cost
This is a mind breaking down
Crying at night with no one around
Light appears, hope is reborn
Oppurtunity shines, a smile adorns
These are the little things that matter
If we believe, we never truly shatter
