Providing Defense against the Dark Arts guaranteed
Hey all, its been a good month almost since I last wrote, so here goes the train
Been working a hella lot at Staples, I had an 8 day in a row stretch that took its toll on me feet. But I keep going. The job is alright. Of course I'm still wanting something I can use my degree for, but thats not coming. Staples is money for now. I miss the good ole days of Bi-Lo with the crew there though. But all in all, Staples is money.
This past Wednesday was Warped Tour, I've now gone the last 4 years and overall, this year had the weakest line-up of bands IMO. I saw some good acts in bands I've never heard of before. Acadamy Is and Paramore both stand out. Also say some good performances by Thrice, MXPX, Millencolin, The Starting Line(one of Emily's fav), Fall Out Boy, Avenged Sevenfold. But the two best were definatly Dropkick Murphys, their no Flogging Molly but I still dig them alot, and my biggest reason for going, Offspring. The Offspring tore it up and finally I got to see them live after listening to their music for quite awhile now. Good show, I just wish I could've seen more bands that I've liked from the past few back. Tsunami Bomb and All American Rejects were two bands that I thought were supposed to be there and they weren't. But all in all, it was still fun and I'm glad Emily came with me. I'm sure I'll still be going next year.
well, in between my work schedule and going to Warped Tour and spending time with the girl. I've been catching up on Harry Potter. Over the past 2 weeks I've read books 1-5 and I have number 6 *points behind me to my dresser* all ready to go and be read and stuff. And addiction as of late, but when I get going into a book series, thats how I am. I should start on another one afterwards, I do have those Dune books to read.
I'll leave today with one simple note. Thundercats on DVD is coming out I read somewhere online. The eye of Thundera still gives me sight beyond sight :D
