very nice picture. For him to have asked to look through your sketchbook indicates to me that he likes your art. Out of curiosity, did you speak with him in English or Czech? And did he have a translator with him, or did he speak with Czech fans in Czech all by himself?

Mr Nykl has perfectly fluent Czech, but mine is pretty rudimentary, so we conversed in English. I was completely flustered and tongue tied in my native language as it was, but did speak a *little* Czech with him, which I'm very proud of.

Hmmm, Mr. Nykl isn't the only one who likes your sketches! I particularly like the ways you combined textures & highlights/shadows....

Hi, just added this community to my watch list, so this is my first look at any of your work. But I wanted to say I like it.

I'm not sure if I get pretentious, but I'm not the best at deciphering expressions, especially if it's not someone I know well, so don't take that as a bad thing...I read my dogs better than people.

But it is an awesome portrait anyways. Nice shading especially. I really like how you did his eyes here, they really bring the sketch to life! How nice of Mr. Nykl to look over your work, too!
