Summary: Momiji has an idea for Halloween and goes to ask Marie if she'd be willing to join him in it.

Momiji left his hut to go looking for Marie, heading for the football field first. He knew she enjoyed playing football when she could.

Marie was taking a short break from football, letting her hair down for the moment and getting a few sips of water. She squirted some water on her head before noticing Momiji heading towards her, and smiled. "Hi Momiji!"

He smiled brightly and skipped the rest of the way to her. "Hi Marie! Mind some company?"

"Not at all!" Marie smiled, glad to see the boy even if he was older than her. "Are you actually bored for once?"

"Seras-san is sleeping, and I've finished all my work. Not much to do inside. Besides! I was wondering if you had any plans for Halloween!" Momiji's cheerfulness seemed boundless as usual.

Marie shook her head, taking a moment to pull her red hair back into a ponytail. "I hadn't thought of anything yet, why? Do you have something in mind for Halloween?"

It never bothered him that she was younger than him, heck, he acted quite a few years younger than he was. He liked being around her, she was fun to talk with. "Do you mind doing a pair of costumes with me?"

"Not at all!" She beamed brightly, glad to have some plans for Halloween now. She liked being around Momiji, he made her feel a lot happier and forget about what happened in the past. "What are you thinking of?"

"Great!" Momiji loved making people happy, and he knew Marie occasionally needed cheering up so he was always more than happy to help. "What have you always wanted to dress up as?"

Marie had to think about that, since she couldn't think of something off the top of her head. She didn't want to dress up like a princess or something along those lines like a lot of girls seemed to. "Do you know if the clothing store has costumes in yet?"

Momiji waited patiently, cheerful smile never leaving his face, knowing she wouldn't want to be pressured into a costume she really didn't want to try on. He also doubted she'd want to pretend to be a princess, which, while he was sure she'd look lovely in any dress she chose for that purpose, just wasn't really her. "I think Miss Pluto just recently announced the arrival of some costumes..Want to go see?"

That sounded like a good idea to her. If the costumes were in, it would just be easier to go look at them and see if anything looked like it could be fun to dress up in. "Sure! We might think of something if we look at costumes anyways."

"Yeah!" He nodded before turning and gesturing ahead of him. "Ready?"

Marie nodded, she could always play football another time. This was going to be quite a bit more fun. "I'm ready. Let's go!"

"We can come back afterwards, I'd be happy to play with you." Momiji offered, and started walking back the way he'd come.

"All right!" Marie's face lit up again, glad to have someone to play with. It was more fun to play football with someone else, after all. She walked alongside the boy, looking forward to Halloween.

He cheered, glad to see her happy. It was always more fun to be around a happy person than someone who was always sad. "How are your classes going so far?"

"They're going well. The classes don't seem to get any easier or harder, for some reason. Herr Alberich kept his going all throughout the summer so no one would forget anything."

He nodded, having noticed that as well. "Maybe it's more so people don't forget what they know when they go back home?"

Marie thought about it, then nodded. That certainly seemed to make sense, at least to her. "That could be it..."

"Though it would be nice if we learned new material.." Momiji admitted. Yes, he was getting bored with having relatively easy assignments.

"Maybe we should talk to the instructors and get moved up in classes a bit. That could take care of getting bored with material." Marie smiled, "Herr Alberich is doing that with me when he can since I'm more advanced than some of the other students in German."

He smiled, nodding. "That should work." He didn't take any language classes because those that were offered, he was already fluent in. Though he probably could take them just to keep listening to the familiar words.

Marie nodded, having a feeling that was the best way to see about that. "It can't hurt, at least. Worst that can happen is that the instructor says no."

"Exactly." Momiji agreed as they came within sight of the clothing store.

Marie smiled, entering the clothing store as soon as they arrived there. She looked around, seeing where the costumes were put this year.

Momiji stepped inside after her, also looking around with obvious delight.
