Jul 28, 2009 15:03

Who: Schuldig and Nagi
When: yesterday
Where: on the beach
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Summary: Nagi's having nightmares again and Schuldig finds out.

Nagi sat up with a start as he woke up from his sleep, heart pounding in his chest. He had another nightmare, and he knew that he wasn't going to be getting to sleep any time soon. Damn it... Nagi got out of bed when he could move again, getting dressed and slipping out of the hut.

Schuldig had heard Nagi's nightmare. Even though he had his shields now, he still kept the ones between himself and the other two Schwarz members present open so he could stay connected to them. He sighed, getting up himself. He needed to talk to Nagi.

After Nagi had slipped out of his hut, he headed down towards the beach, hoping that no one else was out and about. Thankfully it was cool, and he sat down on the sand to look out over the water. He hadn't been by water much since that fateful night with Weiss several years ago, but he didn't want to go to the training area at this time.

Schuldig easily found Nagi down by the beach. At this hour there were very few people moving about. Only whispers of people dreams were blocked by the shields, that is except for the few he was still listening to. He walked over to Nagi, standing behind him. "Can't sleep I see."

Nagi snorted, not surprised that the telepath had found him. Part of him had expected it after waking up from the nightmare, knowing that there was no way Schuldig would have blocked his teammates' thoughts. "With you, more like heard."

"That is true," Schuldig remarked crossing his arms. "They've come back again," he stated matter of factly.

Nagi sighed, nodding slightly. There was no use in trying to hide anything from his teammate.

"Anything you want to talk about? Get off your chest?" He figured Nagi would probably never actually get better unless he talked about what was bothering him.

"What's there to get off my chest?" Nagi shook his head, knowing that Schuldig likely already knew what was going on anyways. "It's not like talking helps."

"Have you tried talking to someone who can actually give you decent adivce?" It's true... Schwarz members weren't the best on advice.

Nagi sighed, looking down at the dark water. "Like who?"

"Anyone outside of Schwarz is probably better at offering advice," Schuldig said with a sigh.

"I've talked with Neil...Duo knows, too, but he's as bad as you are with advice." The young psychic admitted, keeping far enough away from the water that he wouldn't get wet. "Had no choice after Bombay decided to try to make a scene in the arcade last time he was here."

"Ah. Probably still not the best at advice." There were probably better people on the island for that.

Nagi nodded, that much was obvious to him. Sure, Neil was a listener, but there was a difference between that and giving advice. Also, he wasn't sure if there was anyone he would trust enough to tell everything about what was bothering him.

"Some seem to think that other psychic... Nate, is good at advice." He wasn't sure if Nagi would actually go to him for help, though.

"He's more powerful than us put together. In fact, all of Schwarz put together." Nagi shook his head, not liking the idea of going to that guy at all. "Not a bad sort, but not someone I really want to talk to."

"I am aware of how powerful he is," Schuldig remarked. "There aren't many who can offer decent advice here."

"I doubt advice is what I need, anyways."

"Then what do you think you need?"

Nagi sighed, having to think for a few minutes. He didn't really need to talk about things, although his nightmares were returning and shaking him up badly. He also knew that he had no control over when they were going to return.

"Do you need help controlling them?" Schuldig asked with a smile, possibly unintentional smirk.

"I guess..."

"Then I guess we will have to figure out a way to do that.

Nagi shrugged, "Your guess is as good as mine right now."

Well, Nagi might have had issue with going to certain people, but Schuldig didn't have as much of an issue. He find out if it was possible.

Nagi wasn't going to try to convince Schuldig of anything he should or should not do, what he did was his own business. Well, as long as it didn't involve messing around with people he actually considered friends.

"So you're just planning on sitting out here all night?" Schuldig asked.

"Just for a while, why?"

Schuldig shrugged.

Nagi shrugged as well, going to ignore Schuldig for now.

Schuldig decided to head back to hsi hut. He'd be able to tell if Nagi needed him.

nagi, schuldig
