Summary: Zayeed helps Marie move her things over on moving day.

Zayeed sat at the dining room table of the hut. He looked over the lesson plans for his math classes for the next few days. He flipped the page in the book where he had written that down. After a moment, he leaned back for a moment since he had been looking at the information for a while.

Marie brought in part of her things now that it was after school, and the usual things with hut rearrangements were going on. She set the box in her arms down long enough to wave over at Zayeed, then started heading back to her room with the box.

Zayeed waved back. "Hello, Miss Khushrenada," he said to her. "Moving in I see. Do you need any help?"

Marie answered when she came back out, pulling her hair out of its ponytail to tie it back again. "Hello, Mr. Winner. I just have a few more boxes left, but it would go faster with a little help."

Zayeed nodded and stood up. "What would you like me to get?"

"I can show you!" Marie smiled, heading to get the last of her boxes moved.

Zayeed nodded and followed her. "It's a shame we have to move everything again, but hopefully it will go well." The other two men in the hut with them seemed nice.

"I think it's not going to be so bad. Our hut isn't as bad as some I've seen on the board."

Zayeed nodded. "Indeed. I'm glad that I am not in some of the other huts." Huts 10 and 16 looked like they would particularly interesting ones.

Marie nodded, picking up her box when they got there. There was still one box left, and that was it for her things. "I think this is it."

Zayeed nodded and picked up the last box. "At least the huts aren't very far apart."

"That's true!" Marie smiled, taking her box back to the hut. "And it won't take too long to unpack things."

"That's good," Zayeed remarked with a slight smile. He didn't have that much so it had been easy for him to move to the new hut.

Marie had accumulated a few more things than Zayeed had, but she had been on the island longer as well. She nodded, setting the box down when they got to her new room.

Zayeed set the other box down next to the one that she had just put down. "Would you care for something to drink?"

"Just some water, please."

Zayeed nodded and headed to get two glasses of water.

Marie sat down on her bed, needing a short rest before opening the boxes and unpacking them. She smiled at Zayeed when he returned with the water, "Thank you."

Zayeed smiled. "No problem," he said handing her the glass. "How have you been lately?" He really didn't get to talk to his students much even though he saw them nearly every day.

"I've been well." Marie took a sip of her water, feeling a little better after drinking it. "Life goes on much the same day after day, unless something happens. It's more peaceful here than it is at home."

Zayeed nodded, taking a sip of his water. "It is. Of course I come from a time different than the one you come from."

"Of course. In the time I came from, your son is the one running the company." Marie couldn't help but smile a little, "He does a good job, too. I saw him more than some of the others who piloted Gundams."

Zayeed chuckled and smiled. "I'm glad he was doing a good job. Is it good that you got to see him more than the others?"

"Well, I think so." Marie shrugged her shoulders, a habit that Lady Une was going to have to break when she got back home. "The only other I saw on a regular basis was Preventer Chang, and he and I were not on the best of terms."

"Ah. I see. Then it is good that you got to see him then." He knew a bit more about what had happened since he had died, but he understood that he would never able to understand completely what had happened.

Marie nodded, smiling faintly. "It was mildly annoying that I only saw him at some formal event, or when he had to come visit Miss Une for something. But if things go well, I may be able to see him and Duo more often."

"I'm sure they will want to see you more. They have gotten to spend time with you here."

"They have. And I don't think anything Miss Une could do would stop them."

"They are stubborn from what I've seen."

Marie laughed, thinking stubborn was a bit of an understatement where they were concerned.

Zayeed chuckled. "I know more about Quatre being stubborn than I do about Duo."

"Duo's just as bad, if not worse. But I don't mind it."

Zayeed chuckled. "I'll take your word for it."

"That might be best, I've spent more time around him." Marie took another sip of her water, appreciating the rest.

Zayeed took a sip of his water then said, "I should probably get back to my lesson plan. It was nice talking to you."

"I just hope we're not in for a rough day with your lesson plan!" Marie couldn't resist the jibe, smiling a little.

Zayeed chuckled. "I don't think it will be." She did well in his class so she wouldn't have a problem.

"All right! I won't worry about it, then."

Zayeed nodded. "I'm sure I'll see you before class, but if I don't, I'll see you then."

"I will see you later, then." Marie smiled, finishing off her water. "I'll be in here unpacking my things."

Zayeed nodded and headed back into the living room.

zayeed, mariemeia
