Summary: Another ability of the fire-lizards is discovered... Unfortunately, it's not under the best circumstances, and it's during Alberich's German class...
Alberich made sure his class was paying attention before going back to the lesson which had been going for a while, deciding to pick on Omi this time. "Omi, lesen Sie der naechste Satz auf die Seite."
Omi blinked, staring at Alberich. Omi didn't want to be there, and he definitely wasn't getting it very fast, and after only a week in the class, he didn't pick up more than his own name out of that.
Negi looked over at Omi, and leaned over a little. "I'm pretty sure he means for you to translate the next page." He said.
Marie heard Negi, and shook her head slightly. "Read the next sentence on the page."
"Oh..." Omi mumbled, then stood up and held his book in front of him. He was about to try stumbling through the next part (Japanese accents were not meant to pronounce things in German), when something in the back of his mind distracted him. He looked out the window, trying to figure out what was going on.
Alberich noticed Omi's distraction, and slammed his hand down on Omi's desk. "Pass auf!"
Negi jumped a bit as Alberich slammed his hand down. He was a bit intimidated, and reminded himself not to piss the old swordsman off.
Omi jumped, which would have been bad enough, except that Mialee and Adad decided to take that moment to appear from between and dart around the classroom, both clearly agitated at something.
Alberich glared at Omi, tapping his foot in expectation of an explanation.
Marie sighed and shook her head, putting down her own work to watch what was going on. "Die Echsen, dass Sie gefunden hat?"
Negi blinked. He wasn't used to the lizards flying around, and wondered what was going on, before glancing over at Marie, and blushing a deep red.
Omi was trying to get his fire-lizards to calm down, since it was apparent that Alberich wasn't what set them off. He was able to grab Adad as he flew by, and held him close, as Mialee flew to his shoulder and squeezed her tail around his neck. They both began projecting images at him, and he stumbled into his chair, nearly tipping it over backwards.
Alberich frowned, and easily pulled Omi up to a standing position. "Was passiert?"
Negi decided to stay silent.
Omi shook his head, barely being able to see what was going on around him. Omi couldn't tell what the images the lizards were projecting were, but obviously it wasn't good, and it got them upset, which was getting him upset in turn.
Alberich tapped his foot for a few minutes, scars furrowing to show that he was not pleased at what was going on. "Gehen Sie zum chaoses Buero."
Negi was a bit scared for Omi. It seemed like it wasn't his fault that the lizards were agitated, and was about to speak up, when he decided to stay quiet.
Marie looked over at Omi, seeing that he obviously wasn't doing well. "Kann ich mit ihm gehen?"
Alberich nodded, trusting that Marie would be able to run and get help if Omi wasn't able to make it. He knew it wouldn't disrupt the girl's lessons any since she had a good grasp of the language.
Negi looked over at Marie, then at Omi, before looking back at Alberich. "[Would I be able to go also?]" he asked in German.
Alberich shook his head. "Nein. Nur sie."
Negi sighed a little, then nodded.
Omi was wavering on his feet. His head hurt, and he couldn't get the lizards calm, and he couldn't even tell what was going on around him very well.
Marie walked over to Omi, taking one of his hands in hers. "Come on, let's go see chaos. He should be able to help you."
Omi leaned against Marie, stumbling slightly.
Negi seemed a bit nervous himself. He wasn't sure what was going on, but wondered if it was rather serious.
Marie looked up at Omi, leading him towards the door and out of the school. "What happened back there?"
Omi shook his head, Mialee and Adad flying around the two of them, still agitated. "Don't know..." Omi managed to mutter.
"You caused a stir in class." Marie shook her head, "I'm sure Herr Alberich will make sure you have an extra class to make up for today."
Omi shook his head. "It's... Mialee and Adad... I don't know what's wrong..." Omi's foot hit a rock, and he fell.
Marie winced as Omi pulled her down with him, and she took a minute to get back up again. "Do you need help getting up?"
Omi shook his head, already on his knees. "G-gomen..."
Negi was in the class, tapping his foot. He didn't know what else to do, and made a pencil spin around using wind magic.
Alberich glared at Negi, grabbing the pencil in mid-air. "Studiere."
Negi already had his book open. He read through it rather quickly, but still wondered what was wrong in the back of his mind.
chaos was down by the lagoon, but he got up when he sensed someone approaching. "Marie, Omi?" he asked, wondering what was going on.
Marie looked up, forcing a slight smile for chaos to show that she was glad to see him. "Something happened to Omi in class. Herr Alberich told him to go to you, and I volunteered to make sure he made it."
chaos nodded, walking over and supporting Omi. "Thank you for bringing him out here. You should go back to class."
Marie nodded, "All right. I hope everything works out, Omi!"
Omi nodded, glad that he could lean against chaos, who he knew could support his weight.
Marie ran back off to class.
chaos helped Omi to where he could sit comfortably, and waited for the fire-lizards to land. "Omi, can you tell me what's going on?"
Negi continued to read his book.
Omi shook his head. "I don't know... I'm seeing things in my head... I don't know what's going on!" Omi curled up, starting to get slightly on the hysterical side, as the fire-lizards clung to him.
chaos sighed. There wasn't a whole lot he could do right now, not knowing the whole of what was going on... But he suspected that, knowing what they did about the fire-lizards, that something may have happened to Greg... And that he might be needed soon.
Suddenly, the fire-lizards calmed down, and Omi practically collapsed when they broke off the flow of images.
"Omi-kun?" chaos asked gently.
Omi curled up, shaking his head at chaos. Whatever had upset them was past now, but he still didn't know what it was, and he was still agitated himself.
chaos sighed, and cast an Ether to relax Omi and help him sleep for a while, until the boy could sort through what happened calmly.
