Summary: Saturn and chaos finally get to talk.
Saturn stood out by the lagoon staring out over the water. She was beginning to rather enjoy being 14 now. She still had her school books with her since she had just come from classes.
chaos was coming out to the lagoon to sit, as he often did, when he paused, seeing who was already there.
Saturn smiled, scuffing her shoe through the sand. After a moment, she turned to head back to her hut and spotted the other person who had just arrived. "Hello, chaos," she said with a smile.
"Hotaru-chan," chaos said, smiling warmly at the girl.
"How are you feeling? Better I hope."
"I am, and please, do not blame yourself for what happened."
She nodded. "Okay. Thank you, chaos."
"It is far too easy for one to blame themselves for things that are out of their control." chaos smiled sadly. "I know this from experience."
Saturn nodded. "It is. I feel like I did it a lot."
"There is only one who knows why we are given the responsibilities that we are, and though He is my Father, even I do not fully understand why."
"There are times I've wondered that," Saturn remarked. "Why I'm the Guardian who is supposed to reset to the worlds." She shrugged.
"You do have a great responsibility, but without your powers, all would end, and nothing would be reborn. Your abilites are as important as the Cauldron."
Saturn smiled. "I know they are important, but it's still hard to accept it sometimes."
"I know this full well."
She nodded. "I know. We are almost the same in our powers."
"Which is why they resonate thus."
Saturn nodded.
"How are you adjusting?"
"Better now. It took me a while. My powers themselves never really bothered me much...it was mostly the knowledge of them."
chaos nodded.
"That was the hardest part for me."
"I know."
"But I'm doing better now," she said with a smile.
"That is good."
She nodded. "How have you been besides what has been going on?
"Not bad, since Easter."
"That's good."
chaos smiled at her.
Saturn smiled back. "How is Aunt Pluto?"
"She is well."
"That's good."
chaos nodded.
"I'm glad," she said. "No one deserves to be unhappy."
"That is true."
"I guess I could just ask Minako and she would tell me the same thing."
"She probably would."
Saturn chuckled a bit.
"Have you made any friends your age?"
Saturn nodded. "I've talked to a few people around my age. Nate for one."
"Talking to people and making friends are separate things."
"I know," Saturn replied. "I'm friends with Nate. I should probably try harder to make friends with people my age."
"You should talk with young Marie, and her friends, Noelle and Onpu. I think you would also get along well with MOMO-chan."
"I've met Onpu before...but that's when I was younger."
"I don't think she'll be very surprised at the change."
"Really?"
chaos nodded. "Call it intuition."
"Okay."
chaos smiled.
Saturn smiled back.
"Is there anything else I can do for you?"
Saturn shook her head. "I don't think so."
"Alright."
Saturn smiled. "I should probably go get my homework done."
"Of course."
"I'll see you later, chaos."
"Ja ne, Hotaru-chan."
