Well, it's over. Last nights game was the best one this series, at least that I saw. I did miss game 6 when I was on a fishing trip. One thing I noticed about this series is that only one team appeared to be physical at a time, it was rare that teams would have a period were there would be much of an exchange of hits. Edmonton came our really timid in the 1st period of game 7, Carolina lead hitting 15 - 2 at the end of the 1st. Then in the second and third Edmonton started to play more physical, and forechecked much harder and had way more success. Both teams did a pretty good job of keeping the other team to the outside when playing in their defensive end, that really reduced the number of good scoring chances.
It was pretty classy of the Carolina players who took off the championship hats when shaking the Oiler players hands.
I am back in Edmonton next week, but I wish I was there this week. I would have taken in the prospects camp.
