So tomorrow is Christmas day! Yay, but i'm starting to lose the Christmas spirit. I need to do something just totally Christmasy. Today i'm going to see Polar Express with my parents, then later in the day we are going out to dinner and then church. Maybe doing that will get me back in the spirit. I don't know what it is, I woke up yesterday and just couldn't get in the Christmas mood.
Well has anyone heard the Josh Groban song Believe? It is amazing. My mom taped Oprah a few days ago and Josh just happened to be on her show that day singing the song from Polar Express. I must have watched it about a hundred times by now. Play, watch, rewind; play, watch, rewind. Thats what I have been doing the past few days. But I don't understand the big obsession with girls wanting to marry him. I mean, I don't know what he reminds me of but he sure isn't a looker if you ask me. If your looking for someone to marry just go to Dallas Baptist University and ask for this one young guys to give you a tour of their campus! I seriously couldn't stop grinning when i was there. One of Erica's friends from Texas is going there next year so you can bet that we'll be over there ever so often to "say hi to her." This guy seriously is the perfect man and meets all the requirements off "the list" for those of you who know what I mean. hehe.
Anyways, once again i'm up early but i'm not motivated to do anything yet. I just had my usual bowl of ice cream with breakfast and then i'll probably not eat the rest of the day until I go out to dinner tonight. I want to be really hungry for the restaurant. Except it sometimes doesn't work like that. Has anyone ever noticed that? The longer you go without eating the less hungry you get. Well at least that is the case with me. Sorry that was kind of random. I'm losing the Christmas spirit, but becoming ADD again. I'm just basically writing what comes to mind since I have nothing better to do.
It's still pretty dark and foggy outside just to let you know. The fog definitely just reminded me of driving back from the Cross Country state meet when Stuart and I came up with the plan to play spin the bottle. We actually did it! haha. Some good memories there, i'll probably never forget that random night of "twister" at Caity's house.
ERICA COMES TOMORROW! I can't wait! You never know what will happen when we get together. Some people already think i'm on crack, but when we get together it's like we're both on crack times ten! Watch out TCU! So ya, if anyone wants to see her she'll be around until we leave Monday for "the ranch." We plan on baking a TCU cake Sunday so if you like Funfetti come on over Sunday night!!! Because i'm sure you haven't had enough sugar over the holiday season already. teehee.
So this is a really long entry but it's sort of fun. Random, but entertaining. I wonder how long i could write this thing before people would read half way through, get bored and stop reading. Is anyone even reading down this far at all? How funny would that be?!
Anyone like fudge? My dad and I have this tradition of making fudge for the holidays but we haven't made it yet. Maybe today. The one thing my dad actually gets involved with making in the kitchen. Want to hear something depressing. We didn't make any Christmas cookies this year because of the lack of time again. Poor Santa, or parents i guess. No sweets Christmas night. I'll have to figure something out.
Earlier I mentioned that it was still dark outside, well here is a sunlight update: It's getting lighter outside now. Still foggy and overcast and about 37 degrees. It's a bit chilly out there. Stay warm today! Speaking of chilly, I really hope it snows. I've decided that one of my goals in life is to go somewhere for Christmas where snow will be falling on Christmas morning. That would be so amazing. A picture perfect Christmas.
I was just thinking, random again, but you should be used to it by now. I kind of want to go to three Christmas eve church services today. We go to our normal 9 pm at the Lake Grove church but this year i really want to go to the communion service and then also go to Our Saviors. hmm... i'll have to see about that. It could be my last Christmas in Oregon so why not go out with a bang!
OK, well i better get going. It's Christmas Eve and I still have a lot to do today. My parents want to get to the gym before 24 hour closes at 12 and then we are seeing Polar Express at 2, dinner at 5 and church at 7, 9, and 11. So have a wonderful Christmas Eve everyone and get in that Christmas spirit. After all, like the song says, "its the most wonderful time of the year!" And if you get the Christmas spirit give some spirit to me today!!!
Merry Christmas Eve to all and to all a good day!
