Almost there
One more day to go!! Yippee! I thought this week was going to go by so quickly but boy was I wrong. I've been swamped with loads of homework and tests to worry about, but now it's all over. I just finished my last english essay so let the Christmas fun begin!!! I am so excited for this winter break! Tomorrow starts of the break with a Soiree at Vanessa's house which should be tons of fun, then who knows what will come up over the rest of the week but the time off will be so nice. And I am so excited for Christmas this year because the PEARSON'S COME TO TOWN!! I don't know if anyone remembers Erica Pearson but she arrives Christmas night! Then we are all off to Black Butte for our annual week of skiing (or lack of), and New years celebrations. Hopefully this year we will have even more to celebrate after Erica hears back from TCU!!!
I haven't updated my live journal in a while, I just haven't had time. So far the highlights of the week have been:
1.) Sunday, old gym families coming over for dinner. It was so nice to see everyone again. It's been weird not being with each other for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week so we had a lot to catch up on. A lot of times people will ask me if I miss gym, and even after seeing all my old teammates, the answer is still NO! I've begun to realize how brainwashed you get by that sport.
2.) Monday was another big game! We almost got 30 points. We played the Bonita Ballas but our coach wasn't there so it was a scrimmage. The scrimmage was way more fun anyway without the referees making all these calls our team doesn't even understand. And plus, Lauren Sangster got to play with us so she added to our amazing score. Also, Pooky scored!!! Yay! The first point of her City League Basketball career.
3.) Then on Tuesday the choir went to the Grotto to sing. The acoustics there are amazing and all the lights are so pretty. I think Grotto is the only place that could beat out the Psihogios's with the number of lights they have.
4.) Yesterday nothing happened. The marketing group got back from New York so it was nice to see them. Then I fell three times in the locker room during P.E. because of this one really slippery spot on the floor. Other than that, nothing too exciting happened.
5.) Finally today all my tests were finished. After school, Caity, Vanessa and I went for a run and decorated Christmas Funfetti Cupcakes!! YUM! I love the Christmas season!!!
So now I have to go put together gifts for everyone at school tomorrow. Happy Winter Break Everyone!!!
