I got a new king snake. I named him burger....
Some cool facts :)
DIET:
Rodents, snakes, lizards, amphibians, birds and the eggs of reptiles and birds. Their appetite for rodents makes them a valuable ally of farmers. King snakes are constrictors, and are highly resistant to the venom of pit vipers, and can kill snakes larger than themselves. If a rattle snake detects the presence of a king snake, it may flatten its head and neck, the parts the king snake attempts to grasp with its jaws, against the ground and raise a loop of the body and swing the loop from side to side, attempting to strike or distract the enemy. Rattlesnakes, as well as other snakes, can detect the odor of king snakes and will take flight.
BEHAVIOR:
Usually docile but when threatened will hiss, vibrate tail, coil, strike out and discharge foul smelling musk which is offensive to other animals. During courtship the male usually bites the female on back and neck. They do not always entwine during mating.
