Silly little thing, does a half-decent job of being what it's called. The whole 'dream machine' thing knocked my socks off at the first hacker party where I experienced it. I was lucky to be the first to make a winpho app out of it. Now there are other strobe light apps, and I might take some hints from them in future updates to this one.

So this is the first app post, and here's the plan for the winpho app hobbying:

1: publish trivial app to get the process figured out and psyche myself up. Total time: about 5 hours.
2: learn XNA (done, 1 weekend and a couple evenings)
3: publish simple sprite-based or fixed-camera 3d game. Focus is on bus-stop timeline for gameplay session. Bring in a single co-conspirator for art assets.
4: design larger, content-rich game with multiple gameplay modes
5: flesh out any missing knowledge of platform
6: recruit graphics and sound people for this one, and crank it out as quickly as possible.

This is almost starting to sound like a business plan. I might do some simple trivial games in between 3 and 6 to keep myself psyched up and test ideas out. My initial plan was to do a music visualiser like the WMP ones, but sadly you can't get visualisation data on the phone, it has to work from the mic, which frankly sucks.
