There was a double-baby shower, and a county fair demo since I wrote last. Let's see what these events did to my crafting.
Quilting (still nothing! Setting up a crafting day with friends soon to make movement.)
- Mystery Quilt: (ignored) pieced the center of the top. Starting to think about the fiddly piecing that has to happen, though, and might wrap this one up soon. Still thinking about this, and want to get it moving again before the end of the month.
- The Boy's Quilt: (ignored) I need to clean my floor, move furniture, and get this sandwiched.
- My Quilt: (ignored) With the need to think of my son's quilt's finishing, I think this one will sit a little longer.
- The jelly roll quilt: (ignored until the Mystery Quilt is done) Still waiting for something to be completed.
Knitting
- The (new) socks: Started the toe! Tried it on, and realized I started too soon. Have tinked back and am adding more rows before starting the decreases again.
- Boy socks: After two starts, finished the first sock. Cranked on the second one, and now that it's past the heel...I can see that it's EIGHT STITCHES WIDER than the first one. That's about an inch wider. So this in time out until I can get him to try them both on and tell me which he likes better. I'll re-knit (again) the other one.
- Baby hats (2) and baby socks (2 pair) knit and given. DONE.
- Set of hats (child/baby) as a donation to a neighbor's fundraiser. DONE. Still need to wash/block and give to said neighbor.
- Another baby hat (because they are like potato chips, and the yarn is still here...)
- Birthday tank top: Still waiting for the armholes.
- LIME GREEN TANK: Nope.
- Orange top: I thought about it, but nothing happened with it.
Cross Stitch (move along, move along...)
- Yellowstone Lodge: (ignored)
Spinning
- Selfish sock yarn: Gorgeous. Won a blue ribbon. Will be my next pair of socks for me. :-)
- Blue-green gradient: So close to a finished single...will be working on it at Market this week.
- PIIINK!: For the County Fair, I grabbed four ounces of a striated pink fiber, divided it in half, and started spinning it woolen. I'm about halfway through with this one, and will also be working on this one at Market as well.
- 3#Fiber: (ignored) I'm going to start the test-spinning to reach a DK or Worsted eventually...I want a true 3-ply, I think. Must plan on how to arrange the singles while I spin it all up.
- The Jacob fleece has been on my mind again. But I think I should hold off on spinning that until I've gotten some more of the in-process spinning complete. There's two other partial-projects on the bobbins downstairs that have been languishing for a while, and I'd like that space on my table back as well. Maybe next up will be the rest of the "Fluff and Stuff" bag with which I shall ply the silver laceweight yarn. We shall see.
