Life update
I just realized I haven't really said anything yet about how the new job's going, so I figured I'd fill you all in.
(I know, you're all riveted aren't you)
So far it's going really well. I'm getting along with everyone, picking up new things really quickly, and I'll be full assistant manager by the end of the month, with a raise, and better discount, and (after 6 months) health and dental coverage. God how I'm happy about the dental coverage, seeing as how it's been almost 10 years since my last visit. At least I've got good strong teeth.
And best of all, it's alot more relaxed than Tall Girl ever was. How relaxed? you say. Well, for instance, I'm posting at work. So wonderful. It can't quite match surfing porn at work, but I make do.
It's just too bad (kinda) that the assistant manager now is leaving, since she's really fun. But if she didn't leave then I wouldn't be here, so it's still okay.
Oh, and to top it all off, this Friday I get to go to a really fancy restaurant (like $50 a plate) for a product knowledge meeting with a rep for one of our luggage companies, and it's all on their bill. And this happens every few months or so. Yay free food!
So, yeah, so far extremely good.
