I went birding this morning, along a stretch of the Gila RIver, and managed no fewer than three lifetime firsts (Northern Cardinal, Ladder-Backed Woodpecker and Common Blackhawk (the latter is a huge misnomer; I was fortunate enough to see three)). This means that since I became a US resident my brid list is exactly 100 species, which is nice. I would expect to get a lot more this year, though whether I'll double that I'm not sure.
Have, however, made little progress on the writing front, partly because I've been wrestling with a Google redirect virus (these things seem to be increasingly common, but the only links I can find about them are all on tech forum boards - the major virus monitors and anti-virus providers appear to be pretending they don't exist, which I find very very peculiar).
But hopefully soon.
