01. Why do things tend to happen in phases?

02. What about Frozen made it become so popular with young people these days?
a) Good music, cute characters with gorgeous dresses to play in, new Disney princesses... yeah, sounds like a lot of hooks for one film. It also got a lot of props from parent's for Elsa's line about not marrying someone you just met. by rashiea

04. How come we get grossed out by eating a bug, yet for centuries people have been eating insects and have fared just fine?

a) Because society has told us that certain foods are gross even if they're actually quite good for you. by mmrobitussin
b) Eating bugs is normal in some cultures. To others, bugs are gross by default so we just don't want to get near them, let alone eat them. by rashiea
05. Why, when we're kids, do our parents and teachers tell us to be unique, but at the same time, they (or, most of them) and the rest of society look down on the really eccentric sorts? If we're supposed to be ourselves, should there really be limits?
a) You are supposed to be "unique" without breaking the mold of "normalcy" that society constrains us with. An oxymoron to be sure. by rashiea
