Dear tcg_exchange,
As predicted, this and next week will be my last weeks as head moderator of this community. It's been enjoyable these past two and a quarter-ish years since I joined the community. For now I am retiring from head-moderatorship, but will continue to oversee the community and continue to do the prize posts I currently maintain. I will still continue to seasonally participate as a member with the trading when I see fit. However, do not expect me to continue to trade on a regular basis.
What has changed in these past two years? Well... when I joined, event cards were not existant, there were few decks released, and neon was still head moderator. O_O' That was a lonnnnggg time ago. I went from being a member to being head moderator in a matter of 3-4 months, by superior vote from the moderators that were left.
I am hereby changing how the new head moderator is being chosen. From here on the new head moderator will be chosen by a 50% moderator vote and a 50% member vote. This way there is a balance on who the members and the moderators would like to represent the entire community. This person will be in charge of the entire moderator council as well as: litigation between other communities, keeping balance between members and moderators, creating event cards, confirming affiliates, deciding prizes, etc. etc. This person will also be the one that complaints will go to when people are having problems. This brings me to my next part:
Finding my successor:
-Only open to moderators as a promotion.
-Moderator must have time to answer questions regarding the community
-Must have good communication status between this and other communities.
-Must have good knowledge on all PREVIOUS rulings of the community.
-Must maintain balance between member status.
-Must not have god!Mod mindset.
Where do you, the members, come in?
I want you guys to comment to this screened post with who you want to vote for. Moderators may also comment to this post to vote, but please subject title your vote: "MODERATOR". All moderators are free for voting for, but they will be able to choose if they decline the head moderatorship, in which case it will go to the next highest vote.
I want everyone to vote!
It's been a good run and expect to hear about my official retirement letter soon.
