Dear members of tcg_exchange,
The moderators and I have examined all the suggestions you guys put in. Thank you very much for telling us what you guys believed needed to be improved in the community. We are planning on making the following changes to the community as of right now.
FIRST OFF, if you haven't already go here and respond to the roll call or you will be cut from the community!! You have until January 23rd @ 9PM to do so.

Moderator Pay has now be maxed out at 20 cards a week. This is to ensure that all moderators are evenly distributing the work. Most of the posts have not changed except for sign ups which are now done by me. Inuawards after this week ends, event card exchange, and birthdays (starting in February) will be done by fiendie. We hope that you guys find this arrangement a little more suitable for leveling out the moderator playing-field. Moderating is alot of work and most of us actually live off our mod pay in this game. Trust us when we say that if we weren't paid to do this [and btw rashiea and I do the spirits for free], we probably wouldn't be here... I know I wouldn't. I dont want to hear anymore about the whole, "Moderators are taking all the good cards and leaving us only the bad cards", "Moderators have all the advantages", "Moderators are unfair and are cheater" statements or complaints that I have been getting for the past couple of months. If anyone sends anymore of these or posts them to any other community, I will kill you in your sleep do something horrible. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS THAT WE DONT CHEAT. GET IT? ALRIGHT. GOOD. Now we can move on~ :D *evil smile*
Starting after the roll call (which if you haven't already done is here), we will officially be hiring 2 new deckmakers and 1 new moderator. The new moderator position will need someone of level 8 or better, who has been here for a minimum of 2 months, and who has shown CURRENT interest & participation in the community. The deckmakers will have to undergo a test of deckmaking regarding a set of chosen images.
A new game will be designed after the new moderator is chosen.
Many of you requested that decks should be released in a more timely manner so that you have time to collect them all before the new deck release. With regards to that we have created smaller, multiple deck release with about 3 to 5 decks being released a season (with a maximum of 7 standard decks). This means that, there should be no complaining of limited-edition decks not being able to be collected. You will have 3 whole months to do so if not more. This also requires the deckmakers to actually make their decks in a TIMELY manner, which in the past has been an issue.
It has come to our attention that regarding participation alot of you just DONT participate. What's up with that? This game was founded on the principle that you have to participate in the affiliates to get cards. However, alot of you have just gotten LAZY and don't participate. PARTICIPATE PEOPLE! Take it from someone who in the past, when there wasn't enough cards to go around, managed to jump from level 1 to level 8 in less than 2 months (became a moderator at that point too). ^_^' It's happened a couple of times with a couple of dedicated members. Therefore, if they can do it, so can you!
Regarding the Spirits, as it has been a problem in the past and is still a topic of concern for most members (though I'm still honestly not sure why because the cards seem straight forward to me), we are implementing ourselves to only being allowed to trade using the following cards: Rashiea, when trading with Uri will only be allowed to use the Uri card and another certain card regarding the person he's most pictured with (which is his trump card decided by Bon when she originally owned the post)... no one appears to have realized that this is his trump card though. I will only be allowed to use Alana cards and disney02 (ARIEL) when trading with Alana. These cards are not SECRETIVE and their purpose is mostly to trade with them. We will still be allowed to trade with the opposite spirit because we do not actually know what the other person is collecting (even though to us... it seems obvious...). Therefore, any more complaints about this shall now be DROPPED. Good. Good. Now move on.
Two affiliates have now been marked inactive and a few more might follow soon. These two affiliates are cg_lims and brkbck_chllnge. Nothing really to say there other than they will be moved to the retired affiliate post.
Randomizer payments will now change to include more cards. The person you have to thank for the idea is kaurin. :D Her idea was to change the number of cards that you guys have to choose from. We have taken her idea and are going to start implementing it sometime between now and February. The old scale was this:
1 out of 3 cards
2 out of 5 cards
3 out of 7 cards
4 out of 9 cards
5 out of 10 cards
6 out of 12 cards
Teh new scale will be:
1 out of 4 cards
2 out of 6 cards
3 out of 8 cards
4 out of 10 cards
5 out of 12 cards
6 out of 14 cards
This will hopefully increase your chances of getting cards that you want.
There has been previously a large discussion over unretiring retired decks. In the case of retired decks, they were previously retired due to their inactive use as of the time in which they were retired. There has been a large flux in the amount of users who have said they would like to hopefully collect those decks and wish they would come back into the randomizer. Therefore, the moderators by a majority consensus are going to allow some of the decks to reenter the randomizer by the member's choice. During each deck release, members will be allowed to vote for TWO of any of the retired decks (NOT LIMITED EDITION) to be put into the randomizer for a period of 3 months before they become permanently retired (until the day that we have gone through all the retired decks then they will come around again). This way, everyone will be allowed to collect the retired decks for a short amount of time without completely destroying their rarity.
