01. Why is it hardest to sleep when you know you have to be up early the next morning?
a) You've primed yourself to wake up, so sleep is the opposite of what you're body is trying to do.
b) Anxiety can be a butt like that.
02. Why do some shots hurt more than others?
a) Part of it is the formula, how big of a needle, and the skill used by the person administering the shot.
b) Additives and it depends on what the shot is for.... and the needle guage.
03. If somebody vanished without a trace, how do people know they are missing?
a) You might not be able to find a trace of where they vanished too, but I would hope you would notice if they weren't where they should be.... which would classify them as missing.
b) They're there one day and the next day/month/year they never are seen again.
04. How do you choose a favorite when someone asks you (ie color, movie, book, etc)?
a) What is the current one gravitated to the most?
b) I ask, "Do I like it? Do I have alot of it?" If yes, that's probably my favorite.
05. Best deal you got this Black Friday?
a) BOGO build-a-bears for Christmas gifts. It's actually the only Black Friday deal I went out for.
b) All of Kung Fu Panda and the 2 sequals for $12...
06. Why are boxing rings square?
a) See the history of the boxing ring
b) Because it looks nicer. I've seen circle ones too.
07. Why are all the big shopping holidays lumped right after Thanksgiving (black friday, small business saturday, cyber monday, etc)?
a) All the better to steal all your monies and while the stores get their yearly quotas if they were lacking prior to the sales.
b) Started with Black Friday. Then people wanted to shop on the Monday after online. Then people decided they hate corps and started Small Business Saturday.
08. Why don't they sell lemon cookies year-round?
a) Seasonal means you have to stock up if it will last and there's more excitement to get them when they are back again. Otherwise it's just same old, same old.
b) Lemons are commonly a summer fruit.
09. Why is it called eggplant, when there’s no egg in it?
a) Apparently, way back in the 1700s, early European versions of eggplant were smaller and yellow or white. They looked a bit like goose or hen's eggs, which led to the name “eggplant." The eggplant has been around for a long, long time. It's native to India and Southeast Asia. - Google
b) Possibly because they are egg-shaped, but purple. Really on North America and Australia use that name.
10. Why do people never say “it’s only a game” when they’re winning?
a) It's an empty platitude meant to sooth the looser. The winner doesn't care because it feels better to win than lose.
b) Because it's a way of saying you're a sore loser without saying you're a sore loser.
