Wow. Friday night was my first concert experience and I don't think I could have asked for anything better. Not only did I get to see one of my all-time favorites live, but I got to see John Mayer and his sexy guitar faces from the front row...of the second section. Now I don't regret not going to the JM/Counting Crows concert last summer cause seeing Maroon 5 was... so awesome! Seeing them live makes me love them and "Songs About Jane" even more and more and more! Too bad not the same can be said about DJ Logic…

I loved seeing Maroon 5 live. Amazing. I loved it. I love "Sunday Morning" and they played it! Loved, loved, loved it! Seeing Adam Levine prance about was lovely and it got me even more psyched to see John Mayer and his hee-haw dance and his pigeon guitar faces.

John Mayer... live, WOW. But after owning 96 (no joke) JM mp3s, 3/4th of which are live or concert mp3s, it kind of takes away from the experience of hearing/seeing JM perform live and playing "new songs," well about 0.00000000000000000000001% of it. Best song of the night would have to be his cover of Clapton's "Old Love" which included a looooooong guitar solo! It was beautiful. That's what I was looking forward to that night and what I was expecting and it, without a doubt, met if not exceeded my expectations! To top that, he played "Come Back to Bed," but too bad the guitar solo wasn't as long as some of the others he has played at other concert, but it was still very very nice. Those and the mixture of both old and new songs made his set amazing. Hearing/Seeing an acoustic version of "Comfortable" was a kick ass way to end the show although everyone else around us was sitting down for the last song! What were they thinking?? OH, and how could I forget to mention when JM and DRH (the non white guy in the picture) played on the same guitar during "Old Love." My god! FUCKING awesome! The show left me feeling even more excited than I felt when DJ Logic was about to leave! Too bad he didn't play Neon, Wheel, Daughters, or 3x5 though. But still, I don't think I could have asked for a better concert!!

BUUUUT, Friday night wasn't all that jazz when it came to stuck up Scotty cocky Crowe, the guy who's behind all the road journals on JM's site. He wouldn't let me take a picture with him cause he was "working right now" while at the soundcheck party, and after screaming his damn name at the top of my lungs 2037520835 times, he still wouldn't take a picture. You cocky son of a gun! I SHOULD have just taken a picture with him anyways since I was standing right next to him. Oh well. Too many should and could have's. Don't even get me started about the things I could have done to see JM during his soundcheck.... there's always next summer or perhaps I'll catch a Fall/Spring/Winter show in San Diego.

To sum this all up in four straight forward, simple words:
THE CONCERT FUCKING ROCKED!

I'm sorry to all you anti-profanity people who have just read this long ass entry but freaking, frigging, focking and fudging just aren't enough to explain how fucking amazing it was.

The End.
