Heard from my neice in Long Beach, MS
Long Beach is a suburb of Biloxi -- dead in the path of Katrina. The good news is her house is still standing and insured -- the bad news, the town won't allow anyone back in for a month. The people she evacuated with weren't so lucky -- their house was destroyed. My sis-in-law has offered to take the kids in with her in MA and enroll them in school for the season. I think Allison may need the space to put up boarders back in MS and the school was destroyed. They are all alive and well -- things could be a lot worse.
