As always, it seems that the only time I ever write anything at all is during the wee hours of the morning. I've been very neglectful of my online journaling, or journaling in general ever since I got back from Basic/AIT. But to be honest, I'm not sure whether its because being gone for so long got me out of the routine of spending useless time online instead of being productive, or because it just dumbed my mind down being a grunt for 14 weeks. Either way, I have yet to set pen to paper or type anything substantial for quite some time, which I hope to remedy.
This particular entry pertains to those of the past, of which I probably have a number of posts I dedicate every so often to.
From the original boys and girls of St. Anne's school, to the Youth Center lunch table people, to St. Steven's church group, to college brothers and sisters, to my brothers in arms fighting along side of me in the war on terrorism, to the lovely ladies that have all made such vibrant and sometimes difficult memories in my lifetime.
I wish to thank every single one of you for the things you brought to my life and to let you know that every once in a while I think of you and hope that things in your lives are working out and that your working on making your dreams a reality. And I think that perhaps our roads will cross again someday, even if it's on somewhat awkward terms.
For my more recent friends, for everyone in Wisconsin, Minnesota, the midwest. I will no longer be attending UWSP. It was amazing and I wouldn't trade it for anything, but it's time to come back home to Texas. So for the next semester I'll be at UTPB, getting my credits and National Guard contracts in order before transferring to UT-Arlington to finish my degrees. I hope to visit sometime during the semester to see everyone.
A toast is in order, I think. To you, my friends of past, present, and future. May our times be merry, our shenanigans be noteworthy, and our lives be legendary.
Deuces kids.
