Well, I'm 0 for 2 on the customer service front tonight.
I had a complaint with T-Mobile because they charged us for a 154-minute call in December that never really took place. I know it didn't take place because it was a call to my office number at 5:30PM-- I'm never there until 8PM, and there wasn't a 2.5 hour message on my voice mail. That call alone costs $40 or so on our bill. I've argued with their online customer support and their phone support, and neither one is willing to strike the call from the bill. So tomorrow we'll sign up with another cell carrier and get rid of T-Mobile. I don't take well to companies that push me around like that. What's a good, cheap carrier? We're leaning toward Virgin Mobile USA right now.
The other incident was a little strange to describe. Back in early December, I was looking for accessories for the Wii I had purchased for Christmas. I found an eBay auction for a Wiimote, Nunchuck, Motion Plus, and two skins for the Wiimote. It was coming from Hong Kong, but that didn't bother me since I actually had good experiences getting items from there before. I don't know if it was because of the Christmas rush or what, but it took forever to get here. The guy sent me an email asking me why I hadn't left feedback, and I explained that it hadn't arrived. He said it sometimes takes up to 40 days, and that I should be patient. Today was day 43, and I was done being patient. I emailed him again to say how frustrated I was. He promptly refunded my money and told me to just refuse the package if it ever does arrive. Fine, whatever, as long as I don't have to play the waiting game forever. I took my refunded money and won another eBay auction for a similar item, this time in the USA. And of course, as soon as I did that, I got a call from Gretchen saying that the post office had left a note on our door saying we had a package from China waiting for us. I could have bet money that would happen! I'll email the China guy back and let him know that I'll pay for it after all-- maybe I can resell one of the Wiimotes or something. Anybody want to buy a pink Wiimote with the Motion Plus attachment?
