Don't second guess your feelings
Today is supposed to be a day of bad luck (it is FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH by the way!) However, today has been an overall good day. Perhaps that superstitious stuff is really just a bunch of crap.
Things with the new guy are going well thus far. He came over last night and we watched a bit of the Celtics game together. I just enjoy talking to him; we don't have to necessarily be doing anything specific. I'm trying to take things one day at a time and not to push the situation. I'm just focusing on the fact that I have a positive situation going on with a great person. What is meant to be will be :-)
Summer vacation starts next week. The kids have half days on Tuesday and Wednesday for their final exams. My official last day is June 19 but I have a feeling it won't be a full day. It's hard to believe that an entire school year has passed. It seems like yesterday I was starting the closest thing to a teaching job I've ever had. I know I've said in past entries that I wasn't sure about high school kids. But to be honest, I will miss those kids like crazy next year (it doesn't appear that I'll be back). Yes, they drive me crazy at times. However, I've really gotten to know these kids over the past year and they're great. They've taught me so much over the past 9 months. I will sincerely miss them and the last day of school will be difficult. However, I'm sure I'll be back to visit at some point in the future.
Tomorrow is Jenn-and-Todd-O-Palooza 2008. I won't be around until Sunday afternoon most likely. Don't miss me too much.
