OK. Sell me. Seriously. I'm an independent who'd vote for Canada's NDP given the opportunity, and don't yet back any of the declared candidates for the '08 Presidential nomination.
I like his record and experience. I love that whenever he is being interviewed (except on like The Daily Show), he has paper and pen to take notes AND he listens to what the other person is saying. I like that he speaks his mind and doesn't pander. He's been through hell in his personal life and he's still strong and trying to make life better for the rest of us.
He explains things very well and I don't mean he's long-winded like John Kerry. The difference, in my view, is that Kerry would go off on something and you'd have no idea what he was talking about. Biden just explains things well. No sound bites or talking points. Instead, you end up getting it. Very much like a really good teacher; even if the subject is hard for you, with their style and approach you totally get it.
Anyway, that's the basics of why I like him. I could go on. ;)
I'm pretty much in line with the NDP, too, btw. ;)
Seriously, though, it's way too early to tell how things are going to shape up.
It would be nice if we could have media coverage of policy proposals instead of the horse race aspect (yes, we know all reporters love Obama and that Clinton has built up lots of cash - but when was the last time anyone talked about something substantial wrt to the candidates?)
That is exactly what I have been saying! I want to know where the candidates stand, what their records are, what brought them to this place in their life, etc. We have plenty of time for that, but it's better than what they have been covering.

The BS today was laughably ridiculous until it got annoying.
