Scientology - What a Farce!!!
I researched Scientology today. It really is a cult.
I really lost a lot of respect for some celebrities for actually believing in this.
In a nutshell, Scientology is:
The belief that all Humans are Gods who have forgotten that they are Omnipotent. We have been reincarnated so many times that we have forgotten that we are Gods. This is apparently proven by peoples "experience" of past lives.
However, the whole point to creation? Well apparently we all got bored and decided to create reality. But WAIT, then an evil overlord from another Galaxy came and corrupted our minds and caused us to forget that we were Gods. (apparently this overlord showed us a series of bad movies which planted the seeds of christianity)
The aim of Scientology is to go through a number of courses (ranging from $1000 to $30,000 a course) to "clear your mind" so that you can become the Omnipotent being that you began existence as.
The religion was MADE UP by Science Fiction author L Ron Hubbard (Author of Battlefield Earth) and substantiated by research that noone has ever seen(and has only ever been suggested). It was even stated that he created the religion so that his self help Psychiatry sessions could claim tax excempt status. Also he wanted to get rich and found that religion was the quickest and easiest way to make a million dollars.
