So, since the hot topic of the hour is Min, i thought i would add my two cents... Min was FANNNN-TASTIC!!! This was my second event, ever, and really was my introduction into the Realms world, since i was only able to make it to the tag end of the weekend for ToC... I don't think i could have had a better time than i did... The food was fantabulous... Yummy steak, tasty chicken, a great lamb soup, excellent sides, and simply delish midnight pork... Yay! The people were fantastic too... I got to meet a lot of new people, from both the north and south parts of our game, and made a bunch of new friends... And i also got to spend a great weekend with the friends i had from up home... Girl Pile anyone? :) I had great fun coming up with a bunch of different outfits to wear for the weekend, and hope most of them looked fine, because half of them were assembled spur of the moment from the pile of garb i brought with me... Also, i got to be part of the dancing both friday and saturday nights, which was soooo much fun that i can't wait for the next event i can make it to that has that, so that i can do it again... Saturday night i got to go out on the night quest... "I'm invisible!" It was crazy and confusing and took way longer than planned, and it was AWESOME! I'm hoping that i will feel comfortable enough with my fighting to be able to participate fully at the next event i attend... The land was great, the storyline well put together, people stayed reasonably healthy and mostly unhurt, and the event staff made sure everything ran smoothly... I can only hope this weekend was representative of how most Realms events are, fun and full of energy and good times...
So, yeah, i'm still a newbie in this game, with only one and a half events, and a couple months of fight practice under my belt... But this is something i've wanted to get involved with for years... Now that I've finally gotten that opportunity, i'm loving every second of it... I think it would be a shame to lose people who make this game what it is over something that out of a weekend of wonderful things took up a microsecond of time... Things like that, they don't deserve the attention given them... Every time something happens to you, Life hands you two choices... You can let it destroy you, destroy your life, your health, your friendships, make you depressed or angry or sad... Or you can let it go, say "fuck that, i won't be miserable over something that stupid", and move on... Life is too short to be miserable... Me, i'm gonna go spend some time with all of my new friends from Realms now... Hope to see you there...
