I saw the movie Australia today. My friend Chiara dragged me.
So, after 162 FRIGGING MINUTES of sitting through it, what did I learn?
1. Hugh Jackman is hot.

What? Where you expecting something else?
Seriously. I didn't hate it, which is a step above the critics apparently, but... it was just a big mess. Too many different things, too many different storylines! Mix Pearl Harbour and Out Of Africa, throw in some (half-arsed) politicizing about aborigen children and the "stolen generations", shake, wait for explosion. And not in a positive, life-affirming way. It was like they couldn't decide what they wanted the movie to be about, and put in a bit of everything.
Meh.
