Hey,
this journal entry is rather serious . . . sorry to say. However, feel free to pass this along to people with good prayer hearts. There's nothing that confidential in this thing and I'd like as many prayers as possible to go out. I'll be praying as well.
So yeah, I'll get right to the point.
My mom went up to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to see her parents and she had a very moving and spiritual experience with her aunt.
But first, her father, keeps falling three times a week and he's covered in bruises. The doctors want him to get a walker and her father just won't do it. The guy's name is Charles Moretti, if you need a name to include in the prayer. Or you can just say "Peggy's grandfather". So just pray that my granddad will get a walker and that he'll stop falling as hard and often that he does. He also has prostate cancer, so be praying for that to get better or heal or what not. But we're talking about a very feeble guy who needs to be lifted up in prayer.
Second, my mom's mother/my grandmother is going into Chemotherapy tomorrow (Tuesday) for her Leukemia (cancer of the blood). So just lift her up as that is in progress and is successful.
My aunt Janine (pronounced Ja Neen) is really stressed out. I just wanted to lift her up to ask God to relieve her stress.
Ok, and here's the most important person that needs lifting up in prayer. My great aunt has a tumor the size of a college kid's bookbag (full of books) in her stomach. Another metaphor is she looks like she's pregnant. She's on a lot of morphine and she is very close to leaving this earth. She knows it, and so does her whole family, including my mom. She's expected to go in a week or less. She's at the end of her rope, she's scared, but her mind is young and she is strong. God is giving her strength. That's a praise. But ask God to help her endure that strength and to help her keep a young spirit.
Another praise is that she had a vision. (I hope I don't freak you out with this.) But she had a vision. She knows that she is reaching her end. I told you that. Well, her vision was that she has reached the end of her rope, LITERALLY, and she sees God at the end of her rope. He's just standing right there. He's right there with her, and then she just KNOWS that he's right here with all of us on earth. I think that's a huge praise. How do you see it? When my mom told me this, I was like "Whoa! that's . . . whoa! that's really kind of cool." I also think that this vision of hers kind of calmed my great aunt. Just knowing that God is right there with her no matter what happens.
Well, my great aunt is Catholic, and she's a nun. She's seen all she has to see and it's clear that she's going. She goes by Sister Rita. Well, Sister Rita has asked for an extremeunction twice. An Extremeunction is a Catholic sacrament for The Annointing of the Sick.
Also, I don't know if Sister Rita's family is prepared for her death, including my mom. So just pray for her brother, her sisters, her nieces, and nephews, and for my mom. Just ask God to help them get through this.
But some praises are that Sister Rita saw a vision that powerful. She's being strong and accepting. She keeps telling people, "This is God's will. This is what he wants for me."
Another praise is something I said above. This was a very moving and spiritual experience for my mom. My mom's eyes have been opened and she now knows that God is there with her and her family to give her strength when she needs it. My mom is a christian.
Oh, and also, I wanted to just lift up Marty Youngblood (my campus minister) and his mission team in Gulfport, Missisippi. That's a hard thing to do and it can be mentally difficult as well doing relief efforts. I know that Marty will pull through, but I think he should be prayed for anyways, along with the rest of his mission team. I've been praying for him and his mission team. I hope anyone who reads this will too.
So yeah, if you could just pray for all of this, and pass it on to good prayer hearts, I'd appreciate it. But most of all if this is too heavy for you, tell me that too. I didn't want to blow you away with all of these prayer requests, but I felt like I had no one else to go to.
Have a blessed day!
