Those 'Anarchists' are really the nicest people. Seriously.

They're all such nice Upper-Middle Class educated agreeable open-minded people. An elite of a sort, with noble demeanors. By fighting something, you do mirror it.

Went to their meeting yesterday at the new space where it was decided that my course would be in that space. It's a nice room. It feels very private and empty.

Perfect.

I was given a key to it. Perfect.

The most noticable leader, and owner of the space was Alan, he's a professor at Trent University. When he asked me what turned me on to their group, he asked "How did you find out about the free university?" not calling it by its proper known name, which is Anarchist University.

That was a wink of sorts. Communicating to me that he takes the whole 'Anarchist' thing on the same level he can tell I do.

You see, once you get older, you begin to realize that culture is all a sham. It's all a big joke. You realize that all the things you taught were bullshit, you realize that life isn't quite what you were told it was.

But you long for the days of your exciting youth, when you sought to define your identity in the world through certain bullshit belief systems, you long for those days. So you go on telling them stories and myths and rules and regulations to see them listen with awe and live their lives according to your words and all of that. So in your old age, you just have fun with that.

It was that moment, with him calling it "The Free University" that I figured it out.

So they call it anarchist university for the simple goal to get the young ones all excited.

For the same reasons that you may tell your children about Santa Claus.

By the way... I'm teaching this course that I dreamed up: Shamanism and Psychoanalysis
