Like a ship weighed down by an anchor
Cast among the reef
Keeping the ship in place, yet drifting in a way
Crubling the frail life below
Like a child in a too-tight embrase
Craving human touch, human affection
Cringing at being smothered, unable to breathe
I am trapped within my thoughts
My ideals, my thoughts on life
Unable to glue the pieces together
Unable to make the pieces fit
I long to dance and dance freely
Yet when I start, the music stops
Scilence, the loudest scilence ever heard
Broken only by the whispers of the tragedy
Trapped within my soul
My life may be an open book,
Easily read, easily understood
My heart, another story, a closed door
Shut by those who left me here
Locked within myself.
