rainy saturday night
so i used to watch "the wizard of oz" all the time when i was little. then i didn't watch it for, like, almost 10 years. and a year or so ago, i saw it again and realized what a truly creepy movie it is. and then finally, today, we watched "dark side of oz" - you know, when you turn off the sound and play pink floyd's "dark side of the moon" in the background and it syncs up and is supposed to be really trippy. well, i think i was the only one of my friends that liked it. i warned them not to think of it as a movie - you have to think of it as a sort of music video on crack or you'll be disappointed. but they didn't like it...i think they all just got bored. and it was a little boring at times, but the music is so good that it's hard to be bored (especially if you're me). and while the syncing was nothing terribly impressive, there were some really cool moments - like the scene where dorothy is arguing with ms. gulch about toto, and the part where it turns to color, and the part where ms. gulch is riding on her bicycle and "time" starts playing, and the part where the witch dies to the sound of heartbeats. so, my conclusion is that everyone should try it once, just to see what it's like, and then never do it again. it's not worth seeing again...but definitely worth doing once just so you know what it's all about.
also today i had a monster headache that went away only with the all-powerful excedrin migraine. seriously, i want to marry that medicine. it can fix any headache, no matter what. <3
i got my pictures back! finally. from november. hahahahahaha i suck so much. but the pictures rock. there's one really awesome one of a path, and it's empty except for the my shadow and the shadow of my sister, who was walking next to me. it's pretty spiffy. also another awesome one that some how got messed up and became a double exposure by accident - on one side is me, looking off to the side with my hand on my hip, and then kind of superimposed on that are all these little lights - i can't figure out what they're from, either, maybe christmas lights or lights at a party? anyway, it was a mistake that turned out really cool. yay.
time for sleep now.
