Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, and your experience as a flag bearer and later marching band musician. It's so wild that you weren't allowed to march in the block just because you had a vagina...honest to god, why are humans so WEIRD and unfair.
And HOW COOL that you also met your spouse in a musical setting!! I know quite a few musical couples, and I suppose it's natural that playing music together would bring people closer and foster good relationships. I was so lucky to find Jameson. We both have our flaws and quirks but he is a hard worker, he is emotionally sensitive and also stronger than he knows, he is goofy and fun, and also supportive and kind. I look at him with amazement just about every day...even when he's got a cold and honking snot out his nose like now, haha :p
Again, thank you for taking time to comment and for coming out of "lurker mode" to say hello! It's really special when people online are able to interact, I appreciate it and treasure it every time.
