but apparently, it's not. Students in America really cannot pick out their own country on a map. I heard a soon-to-be ninth grader say today that she is tired of people calling her stupid for not being able to answer "difficult" questions. Questions such as, "Where is Germany?" or, "Where is Asia?" and, of course, "Where is the United States?" (We'll ignore the fact that one of those three is not like the others.) I did not realize that this is actually a problem, but apparently I was wrong.
